What is PAX Personal Accident?
PAX Personal Accident Insurance provides tax free cash payments if an insured person is killed or suffers a permanent disability, a specified fracture to the arm or leg, receives burns or is hospitalised for over 5 days, as a result of an accident.
Personal accident insurance is available on its own or with the Optional Life Insurance
Easy to arrange guaranteed cover
No medical is required, just fill in an Enrolment Certificate and your cover will start as soon as the form is countersigned by your Administration or Personnel Officer. Get covered.
Choose Individual or Family cover
- Individual Plan covers you and your children if you are a single parent
- Family Plan covers you, your spouse or partner and your children
Children including legally adopted and stepchildren are covered until their 18th birthday or their 23rd birthday if they are in full-time education
Choose the cover you want
Cover for accidental death and a range of disabilities, is available in Units from 1 up to 15.
See Table of Benefits, the more Units you choose, the higher the cash benefits available to you in the event of an accident. If your circumstances change you can quickly and easily increase or reduce your number of units or add/remove Family cover, with no administrative charge.
What is not covered
- Injuries not described in the Table of Benefits
- Intentional self inflicted injury, suicide or attempted suicide
- Fractures resulting from osteoporosis you knew about before the injury happened
- War, whether declared or not between the USA, France, the UK and any member State of the Russian Federation
- In respect of the extra cover for Criminal Injuries only – criminal injury by a person you are living with, by a road traffic accident (unless the vehicle is deliberately used the injure you) during a fight you entered into voluntarily, any event not reported to the police within 48 hrs, or injury incurred during active service or armed conflict

Personal Accident Only:
The monthly premium that will be deducted from your pay for each unit of Personal Accident cover bought (See table of benefits) will be as follows;
Costs from 1st March 2010
Individual Plan £3.90
Family Plan £5.50
If more units of cover are chosen, the monthly cost will increase accordingly. For example:
5 Units of Individual cover will be: £3.90 x 5 = £19.50 per month
7 Units of Family cover will be: £5.50 x 7 = £38.50 per month
