Buildings Insurance
We know that insurance for the British Armed Forces needs to work harder than your average policy – and our buildings cover is no exception.
Together with RSA, we tailor our services specifically to Forces personnel. We even offer a 10% discount if you've served for over three years.
Our cover includes:
- fire, smoke, explosion, lighting, earthquake, subsidence, landslip or ground heave, storm and flood
- accidental damage cover for glass, solar panels, sanitary ware and ceramic hobs
- costs of temporary accommodation and loss of rent
- bank or building society charges for switching insurance to PAX to a maximum of £25

Accidental damage
For types of accidental damage not automatically included (see Buildings summary), for example, banging a nail through a pipe.
Accidental damage cover is available, even for properties which are let or temporarily unoccupied.

Reduce your insurance premium
The excess is the first amount of the claim that you must pay. Premium discounts are available if you increase this standard policy excess.
The standard buildings excess is £50 (£1,000 for subsidence, landslip or ground heave).
